Travel documents

Passports

We recommend applying for a passport as soon as you enrol on a tour, as it can take up to eight weeks to process. Canadian citizens travelling abroad must bring a passport that is valid for at least six months after the tour’s return and has at least three blank pages.

Airlines will not permit you to travel if the name on your ticket does not match your passport exactly. Please ensure that the name on your EF account matches the passport (including your middle name) or you will be charged a fee to change your name.

For more information, please visit the Canadian government passport website at www.passport.gc.ca or call Customer Service at 1-800-263-2806.

Visas

Depending on where you’re travelling from or if you’re a non-Canadian citizen, you may need a visa for your tour. Consult the destination countries' and layover countries' consulates for specific requirements.
