Your child’s tour is going to change their world for the better
You’re probably here because an educator in your community is leading an EF tour.
That’s awesome news! Educational travel gives students lifelong memories and helps them grow in countless ways. (We’re talking everything from gaining more confidence to developing a greater sense of empathy, just to name a few.) But before your child takes off, we’re here to answer all of your questions.Take a look through this page, or download our printable Parent Guide.
First and foremost, we would never send a traveller to a location we believe to be unsafe—and with our extensive global presence, our best-in-the-industry experience, and our close working relationships with Canadian and international authorities, that’s a statement we can back up with real insight. We have so much to say about the safety of your child, we could fill a whole page. So, that’s exactly what we did. Please check it out.
Please note, we want you to feel fully confident when signing your child up for their tour. That’s why we’ve created new, flexible policies in response to COVID-19, such as a risk-free enrolment period for 2022 tours. Learn more here.
Whatever you need, we’ve got you
We’re here to help you with everything and anything tour-related. For one-on-one support, reach out to one of our Traveller Support Specialists (who we tend to think about as human search engines for all things EF). They’ll work with you and your child to answer any what-ifs and how-tos, from questions about payment plans to documenting dietary preferences. Want to do your own research? You always have access to our detailed Help Centre, which provides information on everything from packing and passports to meals and destination guides.
Your child can earn academic credit for what they experience on tour. That new food they try and actually like? The conversations they have with locals? Yep, experiences like these can help them earn credit with our Travel for Credit program. By embedding a highly-curated travel experience within a course created by teachers, students gain a deeper understanding of the global connections that link what they learn in the classroom to the real world.
