Berlin, Munich (via Nuremberg), Venice, Lucerne Region, with extension to Burgundy Region, Paris | EUV

Some tours cover ground. This one covers history.

It begins in Berlin — a city that is itself a lesson. Students walk through the remains of the Berlin Wall, stand at Checkpoint Charlie, and explore the Topography of Terror before the DDR Museum brings everyday life under the East German state into vivid, interactive focus. A guided walking tour connects the landmarks into a coherent story. A train transfer to Nuremberg sets the tone for the tour's most serious day: the Documentation Center traces the rise of National Socialism, and Courtroom 600 — where the Nuremberg Trials were held — confronts students with the origins of international humanitarian law. A walking tour of Nuremberg's medieval old town provides context and contrast before the group continues to Munich. Munich offers a guided walking tour and an optional visit to Dachau for groups that want to deepen the historical thread. Then the route turns south through Innsbruck to Venice — a complete tonal shift. Sightseeing on the canals, a visit to Burano island, a glass-blowing demonstration, and a gondola ride give students a full day inside one of the world's most extraordinary cities. The tour closes in the Lucerne region, where Tour Director-led sightseeing through the medieval city leads to the Swiss Alps Experience — a natural counterpoint to everything that came before. The optional extension continues west through Dijon — with the Owl Trail booklets guiding students through the city's hidden symbols — into Paris for Notre-Dame, a Seine River Cruise, and a full day of sightseeing with an optional excursion to Versailles.
