Understand the First and Second World Wars through Canadian and European lenses by visiting significant sites across the Netherlands and Germany. Make real-world connections to history by visiting the Anne Frank House, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe in Groesbeek and Wageningen, and learning about the Cold War at the remains of the Berlin Wall.

Sachsenhausen
This excursion takes you to visit the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum. Between 1936 and 1945 the Nazis detained over 200,000 prisoners on the site and murdered an estimated 30 to 100 thousand of them. Today Sachsenhausen is a place of mourning and remembrance. The museum and original buildings from the camp stand to guarantee the memory of horrific events of the 20th century.
