  • Day 1: Board a flight to Winnipeg

    Visit the brand new Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada

    Participate in a hands-on STEM Workshop at the Royal Aviation Museum 

  • Day 2: Winnipeg | Churchill

    Board an internal flight to Churchill 

    Settle in at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre

    Learn more about Churchill and the challenges the town faces as you watch the documentary film 'Know I'm Here' 

  • Day 3: Churchill

    Current research presentation -  hear all about the critical research being done at the CNSC and the impacts it will have. 

    Hands-on wet lab experiment or data collection activity at the CNSC

    Winter Ecology Presentation -  Learn about the plants, animals and landscape that surround us, and how the organisms adapt to such incredibly cold temperatures

    Guided Rocket Range Tour -  enjoy a guided tour of the Churchill Rocket Research Range National Historic Site – built in 1954 – and learn about its ties to the Canadian Space Agency and NASA. 

    Evening Lecture - Students will present their own research on Belugas 

  • Day 4: Churchill

    - Subarctic Outdoor Adventure -  Spend some time outside learning about different snow structures used for survival. Stay warm by cutting blocks in the snow to build an Inuksuk

    STEM Careers exploration activity with staff at the CNSC 

    Green Building Tour of the CNSC -  learn the history of the Churchill Northern Studies Centre and its environmentally friendly 27,000 sq. ft. LEED-certified research station. 

    'Rocket Greens' sustainable hydroponic garden tour & talk

    Learn more about Churchill and the challenges the town faces as you watch the documentary film 'Know I'm Here' 

  • Day 5: Churchill

    Guided tour of Churchill & Town murals

    Visit the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre to learn about  the ecology and human history of Wapusk National Park

    Visit Polar Bears International House - a centre focused on educating about polar bears and the challenges they face in a warming climate. 

    Cultural Talk with a local Indigenous elder 

  • Day 6: Churchill | Winnipeg

    Board an internal flight back to Winnipeg

    Walking Tour of The Forks

    Free time to explore Winnipeg
