The Beechwood Cemetery has played a major role in preserving the memory of our Canadian veterans and others who sacrificed their lives during wartime. The cemetery’s veterans and war dead section is the final resting place of over 3000 Canadians.

Attend the Remembrance Day National Ceremony
On Remembrance Day, November 11th, Canadians honour veterans and all those who served Canada during war, armed conflict and peacetime. In Ottawa veterans gather at the War Memorial on Elgin Street for the annual Remembrance Day National Ceremony along with the Prime Minister, Governor General and thousands of Canadians.
Participate in the Ceremonial March
Your group will follow the route of the Ceremonial March to the War Museum in honour of Canadian veterans.
Enjoy a lunch with veterans
This lunch hosted by the Canadian War Museum, provides a unique opportunity for students to meet and exchange ideas with Canadian veterans. A portion of the trip cost is contributed to Operation Veteran towards lunches for veterans who attend the event.
