Vimy 105: Brussels, Vimy & Flanders Fields
When World War I began, Germany invaded Belgium and Luxembourg in an attempt to capture Paris. Belgium, a formerly-neutral country, fought with the Allies along the West Flemish Front—and many battles, including the Battle of Passchendaele, were fought on Belgian soil. Discover historical sites of the First and Second World Wars, and learn about the senseless losses and brave sacrifices of those at the Front. Pay your respects at the Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate, and experience Old World European culture in the medieval towns of Bruges and Ghent.
