Explore sustainability through the perspectives of local, national, and global governments on this trip through Europe. Your first stop is Berlin, where you’ll come together with students and teachers to focus on Creating a Sustainable Future. Head to Amsterdam: home to winding canals and forward-thinking citizens. Learn about the Dutch city’s approach to sustainability from a local organization (and be sure to stop for a stroopwafel, too) before journeying to The Hague, “The International City of Peace and Justice,” to think globally about human rights. Then, head to Brussels—center for European culture, international institutions, and amazing chocolate. Here, you’ll learn about the important role Brussels plays in the European Union and the steps Europe is taking to achieve a more sustainable future.
