Zhang Yimou’s folk musical, “Impression Liu Sanjie,” is a popular spectacle that takes place outdoors with a cast of 600 singers and dancers. The theatrical performance makes use of the natural beauty of the Li River and surrounding limestone mountains, as well as special lighting displays, to create a dramatic atmosphere.
