The DMZ is a 155-mile-long strip of land that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea—and the most heavily militarized border in the world. To date, four tunnels have been discovered going south from North Korea under the DMZ. Don a hard hat and descend into the third North Korean tunnel, discovered in October 1978. You’ll also have a chance to see the DMZ Theater and Exhibition Hall; the Dora Observatory, which looks across the DMZ; and Dorasan Station, which once connected North and South Korea.
