I loved my Tuscany trip to Italy and Nice France. The tour guide we had was fantastic. He really tried to customize our tour experience to our likes and needs. He was very knowledgeable of the history and the places we were touring. The only negative I have is the food at the first hotel we stayed in was just awful. We endured 2 meals (dinners) of their bland inedible food. Thank goodness I had a good lunch because those were 2 nights I had to skip dinner. The food everywhere else was great but not there. The sights were amazing, the busses we rode in were very comfortable, the hotels were clean and tidy, and the people were very friendly. I loved it and I can't wait to take another tour.

Overall experience of the tour is excellent! Our tour director was great with information and making sure we arrived safely to our destinations.

Our Tour Director is Outstanding!
Overall, the tour was wonderful, and our tour director is exceptional.
HOWEVER, you need to remove the Hotel Excel Ciampino from your list of hotels. It was a hideously bad place to stay! The bathrooms are awful, the food is disgusting, and it is definitely not representative of the overall quality of the tour.
Please split the tours of Rome into two days. We went to the Colosseum in the morning and the Vatican in the afternoon. It was TOO much. If you split the tours into two days, you can add a Circus Maximus tour to the Colosseum portion, which is an excellent addition.

Amazing 1st EF Tour
This trip was amazing.

This is my second tour with EF. It was what and more than I expected. The EF tour director ROCK! He went out of his way to make sure that the rest of my tour was not spoiled as my purse and telephone was stolen after the second day of my trip. The sites and places I saw were amazing. Seeing the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa was a dream come true. I especially loved my time spent in Florence but would have loved to have seen more of the countryside as well. Definitely on my list on my next trip to Italy.

RTR--Fantastic in every way
The RTR tour I just completed in March was fantastic. It is a power packed tour. If you want a tour with rest, do not take this one! From the time we arrived, we were on the go. It definitely packs into its days, all that it can. EF did a great job coordinating everything, from the bus, to the train, to the hotels, to the events, deftly mixing free time, scheduled stops and Tour Director walks! All the local guides were excellent. Meals and hotels were good. The sites were amazing. This tour really does hit the highlites of Italy and France, including Pompeii, Tuscany, Southern France and of course Paris. I would recommend this tour to all, just be sure you have an active group, because you are on the go!

What an amazing trip! Power packed with sights and activities, taking in Rome and Pompeii, Tuscany, the Mediterranean and Paris! EF has outdone itself on this one!

Move adventure than expected
The group leaders and tour guides and the bus driver were awesome. They did an excellent job. Pompeii was fantastic. The itinerary was great but -
Our trip got off to a bad start because of a certain airline. This was not the fault of EF but made the first day quite grueling.
I know that you are not finding the most popular hotels, but the distance from Rome was very prohibitive. We were out in the country, too far, even for the students. Also Nice would have been a better location than Cannes to have an optimum experience in the Riviera.
Also, I had an encounter with pickpockets. Nothing lost, it was handled. Might want to discuss pickpockets more in depth (explain their tactics).
