  1. AAAAAAMMAAAAZZING

I had so much fun like holy cow, this was a once in a lifetime experience and would love to do it again, getting to learn a new culture and learn about coral and fish was just mind blowing, we got to spend time doing things I thought I'd never do and that's what blew my mind I love this and would love another EF tours opportunity!

  2. Great Experience

The trip was most rewarding. I learned so much about coral, sea grasses, mangroves and the reef. We were very busy and had awesome authenticate food. The mountains were beautiful and I survived white water rafting. You don't need to pack much on this trip, just rash guards and good swim shorts. The people of the Dominican were very nice. Our tour guide was the best ever. We were exposed to so much more in the Dominican because of her. She went the extra mile for our students. The boating crew were also amazing as well.

  3. Unforgettable trip

My rising 11th grader had an amazing experience in the Domican Republic. The trip allowed for the students to both experience marine life as well as time for recreation and exploring the area. All details seemed to have been well-taken care of in advance. Everyone was friendly and professional. I like the fact that their teacher lead went first to experience the area and the places they’d visit. She was able to give us more details about what they’d do an de need for the trip. Overall the price is affordable I just wished kids would be two to a room instead of three or four. According to my son, the hotel was very nice and the food was plentiful and amazing. We’re definitely be sending my son (and daughter!) in next year’s school trip.

  4. Worthwhile experience

Overall, this was a great cultural immersion experience and my child came back changed. That said, there are a couple of things that were not accurately described. This was billed as a Marine Conservation Trip, but it fell short of that. My traveler felt that she spent more time with the people of the country, than working on the coral reefs. She did appreciate that cultural time, but was disappointed that they did not do more hands-on service work. She was also sad that their group had to be divided on most days to work with the specific organization in the DR. As awesome as the hotel was where they stayed, she felt that they spent too much time on the bus traveling to various locations. She feels that they could have stayed closer to the worksite and then would have had more time to do service work. That said, my traveler is happy that she went on the trip and hopes to return to the DR one day.

  5. educational

From the time we landed from the plane, our tour guide was sensational. We learned so much from everyone. It was an amazing trip. The sun, sand and water was a great added bonus, everyone that taught us about marine life and conservation were very educated and taught so much. I wish other people could learn from them, our waters would be cleaner, healthier.

  6. Awesome

This was an amazing experience. EF made taking students to a foreign country such an easy experience. This trip was beyond my expectations. Our accommodations were great. The food was better than expected. When we encountered a problem with our dinner service on the 1st night I had messages from my tour consultant the next morning asking how she could fix it (and it was fixed from then on). Our tour director made the trip amazing for the kids. I loved the staff where we did our service project.

  7. A cool learning experience

    - best trip ever. I am so glad I took advantage of the opportunity to go on this trip.
-words cannot describe the friendliness of the people we met.
-The professionalism of the staff for Verde Profundo work base at Boca Chica was incredible. The staff spoke with such passion regarding marine biology you became excited for being there. They set a perfect example for the students on public speaking and presentation.
-the hotel accommodation was perfect. Staff nice, good food. No complaints.
    - I felt safe at all times.
-I was impressed with the bus driver. He always had are safety first- how professional he responded to the flat tire- he always had a smile for us- he interacted with the students well.
-The team building experience of crafts, dance class and snorkeling, was perfect.
    - I was a little freaked about the white water rafting. I almost passed- glad I did not- if you chose to pass the ranch was a perfect place to sit and relax- view the beautiful garden and view.
-the Tour director Jaan we had was the best. His attitude was perfect the whole time. He was able to engage with every student at their level at all times and made the trip special. He maintained a calm aura that the students obsorbed. He always had an educational information to share regarding everything we did. He totally went above and beyond. I totally felt safe. He was very fluent with the language. I never felt at risk in anything we did. I was impressed.
