• You learn something new everyday

When people say "you learn something new everyday" that was more than true on my Greecian Odyssey trip. Everyday a new historical site, a new museum, a new fact. From being high up on the hills of Greece to seeing the grasslands, there was always something new and fun to learn. Our tour guide was more than awesome and made it not only interesting but funny too! EF tours are absolutely amazing to travel with, so amazing I'm actually heading to Spain soon :) EF tours make the quote "you learn something new everyday" come alive, in intriguing ways.

  • Absolutely a must!!!!!!!!

My 17 year old daughter had the opportunity to travel with EF Tours to Greece. When she came home from school and told me she had the opportunity to take a trip of a lifetime, I thought "but we've already been to Toronto". After all, how many 17year olds are able to travel anywhere but in Canada!
Much to my surprise, an announcement was then made to her class that the Year end trip was Greece. Wow! Of course, I had my reservations about my daughter travelling to Europe without her parents. But after getting all of the information, I was made to feel much more comfortable. The package was very informative, the chaperones were well organized and I could tell that this was indeed going to be a "trip of a lifetime"! The package price was very reasonable and affordable as they allowed you to make installment payments and then when the time came, all she needed was spending money.
When she came home, I realized even more that the trip was really good for her and it gave her such a taste of what it was like to see the world. She said the guides, hotels, places of interest and tours were all really well organized and well managed. There was enough time for all their activities and they even got to venture on their own a bit. She felt safe the entire time and that sold me on it. If my son has the same opportunity to travel, EF Tours would be my first pick! I have recommended EF Tours to some of my friends and aquaintances and when asked I tell them what a great way to travel!

  • Great time with friends

Our tour guide was amazing and I can not say enough good things about him and the organization and smoothness of our EF tour. There was plenty of time for us to bond with friends. There were some locations which I felt more time could have been devoted to, however we were never bored. We felt safe in all the areas we were in. I’ll never forget the amazing things we saw and the once in a lofe time opportunities we had.

  • Journey of a lifetime

The Grecian Odyssey tour was absolutely amazing! It far exceeded my expectations. All our tour guides were so knowledgeable and personable. I loved seeing all the historical sites. Our tour director was outstanding and ran the whole trip seamlessly. Greece is stunning! I highly recommend this trip!

  • So worth it!

It was so HOT! I was so tired. It was so worth it!!! Our tour director was just awesome. We saw SO much and learned SO much! We learned about history and the culture, but most of all it was just fun. We had an amazing group. I want to do this in so many other places now. And I want to go back to Greece. We did not spend long enough in each place, but we saw and did so much in a short time.

  • Not so Amazing

I have been on one previous EF tour and it was very organized. This tour felt very unorganized. There was too much time dedicated (by the tour guide) to shopping. After spending the 1st afternoon shopping the next day we were "dropped off" in a square in an area with shops and told we had 3 hours and to meet back at this location. We stayed in a hotel across the street from the sea but were not "allowed" any swimming time until after 8:00pm.
We were within a couple of miles of downtown Athens but we didn't do any walking tours of the historic buildings. By chance I was walking and saw the Changing of the Guards and advised others in the groups to take the opportunity to see this. I will not take another EF tour (this includes my son and sister).

  • Amazing except Athens

I loved everything except for the fact that we spent too much time in Athens. I loved the ancient part of Athens(Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, and Hadrian's Library), but the rest of the city was not much to see/gross. Because of this I felt that we spent too much time in Athens. All of the scenic cities were amazing, tours were amazing, and an overall amazing experience.

  • All I wanted and more!

This trip could not have gone any better. EF had everything organized perfectly and we had the best tour director and tour guides! We had the chance to see so many amazing things and I learned a ton about the history of Greece, as well as about Greek mythology. I did feel like we were in Athens for 1 day too long, by the 4th day most of the group was burnt out and ready to go explore different cities. The trip was paced very well and it was nice to get free time in the different cities. This trip exceeded all expectations and EF made it very simple to travel internationally for the first time. I would highly recommend this trip.

  • Amazing trip

This trip was so educational and so incredible. We saw so many places that were just amazing to see and experience. Each local tour guide had a wealth of knowledge about Greece, its history, and its people. The hotels we stayed in had very small rooms and pretty bad WiFi, but aside from that, each day was incredible. Our tour director also helped us out immensely by telling us where to shop and eat, as well as finding time for the kids to swim since they really enjoyed that.

  • Average

Upon arrival to Athens we are greeted by a city filled with grafetti and run down buildings. Then we board bus and get a 30 minute speech on pick pockets and how our tour leader was robbed 4 weeks. Not a good first impression. We rode the subway 2x while in Athens to the Plaka district which was also very scary. The hotel in Olympia was terrible and EF Tours should not use them. No air conditioner, the door knobs don't work, beds are hard as a rock and it is not clean. I believe 4 days in Athens is way too much for tour as it is a dirty, dirty city. To see anything pretty you had to leave Athens.

The positives I enjoyed the cruise and not being in Athens for the rest of the historical sites.
