• China 2019

The EF tour was paired with a home stay for high school kids from our school in a city near Beijing so I had exposure to two different types of tourism. First of all, the local guides were fantastic. They were very knowledgable in local history and customs. I was disappointed in the amount of time dedicated to places where we could spend our money. Meeting places were usually in or right in front of favored souvenir/shopping sites. I will give credit that often the quality of the souvenir was a little better than what we might stumble upon on our own. After a week of visiting a non-tourist city and being taken to excellent dining locations, the dining choices on the EF tour were disappointing. I would compare it to eating at a safe restaurant were the food is serviceable but not memorable. Finally, if you don't like crowds, avoid China. Except for a pleasant walk along the Bund in Shanghai the crowds, especially in Beijing, were distracting. Having had an exceptional experience the week before the EF tour probably spoiled me but if this would be a very good first tour of China. The key is to engage the local guides. They make all the difference in the world. One last shout out to our local tour director who was a champ at getting us through the local airports without any hitches.

  • Great Tour for Mandarin Students

Me and my two sons, both of whom speak Mandarin, enjoyed this trip thoroughly. The guides were great and the experiences were really engaging. Never a dull moment and just enough freedom to make you feel like you're on vacation, but enough education that you learn a lot.

  • amazing experience

I personally recommend traveling to everyone because it opens up your horizons and you get really great picture opportunities. China/Hong Kong was amazing. It got very tiring walking around, and the Great Wall was a big challenge, but it was definitely worth it. The hotels were nice, and I recommend going with EF. All you do is pay and they take care of the rest.

  • Outstanding adventure!

The trip was extremely well organized. Every minute was planned with purpose. We had such great experiences and learning opportunities. We learned so much about daily life, culture, and marvelous historical sites.
We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the week. So glad to have this opportunity.

  • Wonderful trip

Our trip was great. Everyone in my group enjoyed everything about the trip so much. They loved the tourist attractions (the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Terra Cotta Army, the Chinese garden, and etc.), the authentic Chinese food, the shopping, the tea and the silk, riding bicycles on the city wall in Xi'an, and the spectacular acrobatic show. They said the trip is worth the money they paid. Some said they'll go back to China again. Some said that they did not want to return to US. Some of them got to practice their Chinese with local people, some learned some Chinese words. Students also made new friends too.

  • Life Changing Experience

My Experience while studying abroad was life changing. Learning about other cultures helped me gain knowledge and understand life in others places and appreciate the world as a whole! Different customs, foods, religion, and language was the most inspiring to me. Thanks to our tour guide for making my experience fun and safe! I’d like to plan another trip to stay longer. I already miss eating dumpling and dim sum! I high recommend A Tour to China, you won’t regret it! Happy Travels to all!

  • Amazing trip to China

My family and I recently went to China with EFTours and the trip was beyond incredible. The local tour guides were very helpful and took great care of us and our group. We saw and did things we never could have on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour.

  • China Trip

Guides knowledgeable and entertaining. Packed with a lot of information in a short period of time. Felt like we scratched the surface with so many spots to see in such a little time. Appreciated the opportunity to shop afterwards but after awhile became gift shop fatigued and would have preferred more experiences.

  • Absolutely Incredible!!

This was my first out-of-country experience and I absolutely adored it!! Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic and everything we did was truly incredible. While I have to say it was extremely hot, that doesn't stop me one bit from loving my experience with this tour. If I could, I'd absolutely go again!
