        Enjoy an excursion to the grand palace of Versailles, where Louis XIV held court in the most lavish style imaginable. On a tour, stroll through the elegantly landscaped gardens, the historic Hall of Mirrors, and the ornately decorated State Apartments. Note: Versailles is closed on Mondays.

        Day 9 excursion

        Discover why food plays such an integral role in Italy’s culture as you dive into this hands-on cooking class. Together with expert chefs, learn how to make delicious gelato, cookies, and biscuits. As you make the treats, your chefs will share stories about the importance of food in Italy, including the history of biscuits and why they’re used to celebrate special days. You’ll find out the tricks of Italian cuisine, learn all about the ingredients you’re using, and walk away with a new (delicious) Italian vocabulary. At the end of the class, you’ll be able to taste and enjoy what you and your group have created. You’ll also be able to take cookies home (if there’s any left!).

        Visit the lost city of Pompeii and take a guided tour of a village that once lay buried under ash for 1,500 years. Visit the Roman Ruins before heading to the picturesque Sorrento region. A leisurely ferry ride will bring you across the turquoise waters of Capri where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful oasis before heading back to Rome on an island cruise.
